Stage Walk Instructions and Video

Stage Walk with the AWNBS consists of an individual V-WALK, this is your time to be seen individually by our judges. This walk is to be performed each and every time you go onto stage…this is your time to show our judges your physique with your BEST THREE poses!!

 

Understanding Your Stage Walk

It is very important to understand the stage walk as well as the posing required when competing.

By viewing V-Walk Tutorial Video below you will be able to get an understanding of the walk process.

To further develop a confident stage walk practice is key and we invite you to attend our Posing Workshops so that you can further have your questions answered and your nerves eased.

**IMPORTANT:  Your selected V-Walk poses reflect the posing you will be performing in that particular category.

  • Figure will perform Symmetry Posing Only
  • Fit Body can combine both Symmetry and Muscularity
  • Swimsuit/Fitness/Bikini will perform quarter or half turns (please no muscularity poses)

Stage Walk Steps 

Individual V-Walk

  1.  The emcee will introduce you by your name and competitor number onto the stage
  2.  You will then walk to the middle cross at the front and centre of the stage
  3.  Here you get the opportunity for your three poses, so pick your best ones
  4. On completion of these poses, you will walk walk to the right back side of stage
  5. You will then line up at the back of the stage and wait in your front pose whilst all the competitors in your division perform their stage walks
  6. Each competitor will continue the same individual routine until all competitors are lined up at the back of the stage
  7. The emcee will then guide you into groups and place you into the marked locations on either the left, front or right of stage
  8. Once in position the ladies located at the front of stage will go through their compulsory poses  Please note all competitors who are on the left and right sides of stage are to hold their poses and be courteous of the ladies who are being judged at the time.
  9. On completion of your quarter turns the emcee will now guide and swap competitors from the left and right hand sides of the stage until ALL competitors have performed their poses front and centre stage for our judging panel.
  10. From here the Judges will have a list of competitors who they would like to see again for comparisons, who the emcee will call forward to begin the quarter turns again
  11. Once completed the judges will have their Top 5 placed competitors, the emcee will guide athletes back to the left, rear or right hand side of the stage
  12. The emcee will announce the Top 5 athletes for that particular division

After every division is complete, the emcee will ask for all ladies to present for a Group Image of the entire Division.  Then an image of the Top 5 ladies, then an image of the First Place winner, who the emcee will then interview.

Stage Walk Steps 

Bikini International Additional Stage Walk

  1. All athletes will be positioned at the front of stage in their Front pose
  2. From here the emcee will guide competitors to perform a half turn so that they are facing the rear of the stage
  3. Competitors will then hold their back pose before being guided by the emcee to walk toward the back of the stage to the mid line marked.  Please view the BACK POSE position for the BIKINI INTERNATIONAL Category
  4. Competitors will then hold their back pose again before being guided by the emcee to perform a half turn so that they are now facing the front of the stage
  5. Competitors will hold their front pose until being guided by the emcee to walk back to the front of the stage to the position in which they began

TOP STAGE PREPARATION TIPS

  • Know your Competitor Number
  • Keep your poses on your V-Walk to THREE only – be respectful of the other competitors in your division
  • Practice the Walk regularly so that you are confident when performing your individual presenation
  • Attend an Posing Workshops – so you can better understand the walk and posing
