Testing for Australian Women’s Natural Body Sculpting

Testing for the Australia Women’s Natural Body Sculpting Events consists of both Urine Analysis and Polygraph Examination.

Since our Affiliation with the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation in the United States, we’ve been able to further place the highest importance on ensuring that athletes are drug-free, so as to ensure fair competition at each and every event Worldwide.

In 2018 the WNBF have over 5,000 urine test results on file from both in Season and out of Season Athletes.

Please see below information on both Polygraph Examination and Urinalysis Testing under taken at our Events.

If you are unsure of any supplement or medication you are taking please view the Banned Substance list or email Jane info@awnbs.com.au to seek clarification.  You may think it may seem minor however we highly recommend to understand what you are putting into your body and if it indeed falls under the Banned Substance list, so we can advise you on what to do OR what is required in order for you to be able to compete.

Basic Facts about the Polygraph Examination for Athletes

We are different than other organisations for natural athletes; we offer the Polygraph Examination, used as a tool for athletes, to prove that they are indeed natural athletes.

The Polygraph Examination is a trusted science around the world.

The Polygraph is known to be scientifically proved to detect deception. The Polygraph examination does not falsely fail athletes.

Nervousness is normal and is not the same as deception.

The WNBF only tests athletes for Banned Substances; not recreational drugs such as marijuana or your personal lifestyle.

The process is very simple taking approximately 20min. Elizabeth Martin is our Polygraph Examiner from Advanced Polygraph Services who are based in Melbourne, Victoria and travel to Brisbane to test our athletes.

Elizabeth along with her partner Martin Taylor (also a Polygraph Examiner) they have a combined 45 years policing and law enforcement experience, hold 26 academic qualifications and all are Certified Forensic Principal Polygraph Examiners (Psychophysiologists) and are widely recognized as the nation’s leading Australian Polygraph Examiners providing expert lie detection and truth verification services to clients throughout Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

Since our affiliation with the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation, we reached out to Liz and Martin from Advanced Polygraph Services to assist us to provide Polygraph examinations for our Events and they have done so now since 2016.  Any athlete wishing to earn their Professional Athlete Status here in Australia is required to undergo a Polygraph Examination.

Further more, when athletes qualify for the Australian Team to the WNBF World Championships each year, EVERY athlete is examined by Polygraph prior to the Event.

The Polygraph examination is not meant to intimidate and scare natural athletes; it’s meant only to eliminate athletes who use banned substances from trying to enter and compete. This ensures the integrity of the sport and makes it an even playing field for all athletes who are eligible to compete when achieving their highest honour a WNBF Pro Card.

If you have any questions regarding the Polygraph examination within the WNBF, please don’t hesitate to contact Jane at the AWNBS info@awnbs.com.au

All INBF/WNBF athletes must be 10 years drug free of prescription/pharmaceutical hormones on the banned substance list and two years free of over-the-counter hormones, pro-hormones or banned substances listed or their chemical counterparts, unless otherwise noted, prior to their first INBF or WNBF competition.

Basic Facts about the Urine Analysis Test for Athletes

We uphold Urine Analysis testing at all Event Days.  Athletes who place first in their division will be required to submit a urine analysis and will be directed by our Backstage Team to the testing room.

From here athletes will be required to fill in a Urine Drug Test Laboratory Requisition Form, with examiners and athletes then following the WNBF Chain of Custody to supply a urine analysis sample.

Once the testing process is completed the sample is then placed in a sealed bag with the toxicology lab copy, copy to the athlete (as one of our athletes Siobhan shared on her socials – per image)  and copy for us to file.

Samples are then sent for testing with with PDF result summary provided to the WNBF.  Unless failure of test there will be no further contact with the athlete.
